Information We Collect

• Contact data: Information you send us directly (e.g., email address, message content).
• Usage data: Basic analytics such as page views, device and browser information.

Skeddo Mobile Application

The following sections apply to the Skeddo mobile application (iOS / Android). The app connects students and teachers, facilitating lesson scheduling, billing, and discovering nearby teachers on a map.

Data Collected by the App

• Account data: First name, last name, phone number, email address, role (teacher, student, or parent).
• Geolocation data: Device location (latitude and longitude) only when you manually activate this feature (see "Geolocation and Map Display" section below).
• Lesson and billing data: Lesson schedules, duration, and payment information.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, Push Notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

Geolocation and Map Display

Skeddo allows teachers to display their location on a map so that students can find nearby teachers. This feature is entirely voluntary and operates under the following principles:

• Explicit consent: Before your location is displayed on the map, the app will ask for your explicit consent. You may decline this request.
• Manual check-in: Your location is shown on the map only after you manually "check in." There is no automatic check-in feature. Each time you want to appear on the map, you must check in again.
• Expiration: Each check-in has a limited duration. After it expires, your location is automatically removed from the map.
• Approximate location: You may choose an "approximate location" mode, in which your exact coordinates are not displayed — only an approximate area is shown.
• Visibility control: You can disable map visibility at any time from your settings.

Student location: Student geolocation is used only at the moment of searching for nearby teachers. Student location is not stored on the server and is not visible to other users.

User Blocking

Skeddo allows you to block other users. When a user is blocked:

• The blocked user will no longer appear in your search results or on the map.
• The blocked user will not be able to send you connection requests.
• You can unblock any user at any time from your settings.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — for receiving push notifications.
• OpenStreetMap — for map display (your location is not transmitted to OpenStreetMap).
• Geolocator — for reading device location (only with your consent).

These services may collect technical data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

App Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data is retained while your account is active. Upon request to delete your account, all personal data (including geolocation, lesson history, and connections) will be fully deleted from our servers within 30 calendar days.

How We Use Information

• To operate, maintain, and improve our website and services (including the Skeddo app).
• To communicate with you and provide support.
• To enable the nearby teacher search feature (only with your consent).
• To send push notifications (lesson reminders, connection requests).
• To protect our website and app, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Legal Bases (where applicable)

• Contract performance and pre-contractual steps.
• Legitimate interests (e.g., site security, service improvement).
• Consent (e.g., non-essential cookies, certain communications).
• Compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers processing information on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics) and when required by law.

In the Skeddo app: If you are a teacher and check in, your location (exact or approximate, per your choice) will be visible to other app users on the map. Your profile information (name, subjects, rating) will also appear in search results. You can stop sharing at any time by canceling your check-in or disabling visibility.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact support@bdx.ge.

International Transfers

We may process data on servers located outside your country. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards.
